Tired beyond belief
When duckling was a wee little-r duckling that the current new found bulk and height I used to walk past (with a load of laundry in my arms) that sleeping form on the floormat and smile to myself. It was the quiet smile of having produced someone so perfectly formed from those toothless gums and pudgy cheeks to the curled hands and tiny toenails. I often wondered at that point when there would be laughter and running around and playing with all the masses of toys we had accumulated.
Of course now that there is laughter, non-stop running around and our very own toystore strewn across the carpet all I wonder is when is it going to be bedtime. Ducklings. And honestly, mine.
There are no adjectives to describe this level of tiredness. Exhaustion is a mere tip of the iceberg.
